What is the customer impact?
Machines that are currently running and licensed should NOT lose their license. If a phone home occurs during the maintenance window, there will be a 503 error in the logs ("System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable."). This error is only visible in the logs and should not impact functionality.
New activations will fail if they are attempted during the maintenance window.
